Junior Academy
Golf Skills Coaching Programme
Course Information
The Junior Coaching Courses are designed to offer a structured format of tuition, practice and challenges in order to provide an enjoyable learning experience for all children. We are able to give children the chance to learn the game using the first class facilities at the Faldo Golf Institute, including the Long Game Zone, Putting Zone, Chipping Zone, Bunker Zone and the fantastic Academy Par 3 Course.
Our aim is to help and guide each pupil through each area of the game and take each pupil as far as they want to go - whether that is to just enjoy the game or to be the next Nick Faldo or Tiger Woods!
The Programme itself covers each aspect of the game, including putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, full swing, playing and rules & etiquette. Each week they will cover a different topic and we will spend time learning and practicing each discipline.
The Programme is divided into three groups with regards to their age and ability. These are as follows:
RED GROUP
Age 6-8 years or shoots 55 or below on Par 3 Course
This group will learn the basic fundamentals in each aspect of the game. They will gain an awareness of distance control and alignment and will develop co-ordination, speed and balance.
BLUE GROUP
Age 9-12 years or shoots 35 or below on Par 3 Course
This group will develop the fundamentals in each aspect of the game. They will develop a better understanding of the swing, distance control and alignment and build on the foundations set at the RED stage.
GREEN GROUP
Age 13+ years or shoots 25 or below on Par 3 Course
This group will strengthen the fundamentals and gain a good understanding of the swing. They will learn more advanced techniques and how to keep developing as a golfer.
Each group will have a maximum of 6 pupils to ensure safety and quality of tuition.
What do they receive?
On signing up for a course, each pupil will receive a Faldo Golf Institute bag tag. At the end of every course the pupil will be presented with a Faldo Junior Academy Golf Skills Certificate of Excellence.
